What are audience permissions?

Audience permissions apply on everyone except room admins or hosts within a room. You can currently give or revoke access to mic, camera, GIFs, apps and megaphone.

For example, you're doing a townhall meeting with 100 team members. You want people to be on mute until the Q&A round. You, as a host or room admin, can easily turn off microphone while the speakers present and turn it on when the Q&A session starts.

It's really powerful and makes your life easier to handle a crowd.
