In Reslash, a user has two types of roles - space roles and room roles.
Space roles tell you what's the role of the user in the entire space. It can either be space owner, team member or guest. All room roles are explained below.
You would invite your team, people you work with on a daily basis, as team members. One-off events where you invite people from outside, they'll enter as guests within the space.
Space owners have the ability to control space roles. For example, they are the ones that can convert guests into team members or team members into space owners.
Room roles tell you what's the role of the user in the specific rooms. This allows you to define roles at a room level and have better control of the experience.
Room roles can either be room admin, host, speaker or audience. All room roles are explained below.
For example, your CEO Sanjay has setup her office in the room called 'CEO's Office'. Now, the CEO can assign herself as the room admin. Now, she invites 10 team members for a quick meeting. These 10 people will enter the room as an audience.
Now Sanjay can change audience permissions to control the experience. Let's say she doesn't want them to use apps or the megaphone in the room. She can easily do that in audience permissions.
